The Amami Islands located in the south of Japan are the nation's 34th brand-new national parks (Amami Gunto National Park) and candidate for World Heritage Site national parks that represent both the environment and culture of Amami-Ryukyu through the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
After the Amami Islands registered as the World Heritage, the environment of the islands is conserved neither only for the local people nor Japanese, must be kept for posterity and children in the world.
