From the bottom of the sea to the edge of the Universe, take a trip to an amazing destination at the Novins Planetarium!
Our planetarium dome is an immersive video space. No longer restricted to an earthbound view of the sky, we can now take you on a journey from the bottom of the sea to the edge of the universe! When we do want to see the night sky above NJ, our fiber-optic star projector will provide a beautiful, crisp view of the night sky.
First opened in October 1974, the planetarium offers a wide array of educational and entertaining shows for the public and school groups. After some mechanical problems, the decision to close the planetarium was made in 2007, but with a great public outcry, a save the planetarium campaign was formed. With tremendous support from the community, the College, and the Board of Chosen Freeholders, enough money was raised to renovate and update the entire planetarium which reopened in 2010.
