Wakefield Hospice is a purpose-built unit that provides the highest quality palliative care and symptom management for local people affected by life-limiting illnesses. Since opening in 1990 we have supported thousands of families through our inpatient unit, day therapy unit and bereavement support service, as well as providing specialist training for healthcare professionals. As a registered charity the hospice relies on voluntary income to continue providing these services free of charge. The hospice receives the majority of its running costs through donations and fundraising.
