NAHSHON DION is an African American Bronx-based Louisiana Creole multi-talented, award-winning creative nonfiction writer, teaching artist, video editor, event planner, producer, grants panelist, community organizer, fundraiser, disability advocate, humanitarian, and arts patron from Altadena, CA. Growing up in the backyard of Hollywood, she's been an entertainment professional for thirty years behind the scenes and in front of the lens as a SAG-AFTRA actor. She's received dozens of grants, including a New York State Council on the Arts Individual Artist grant, fellowships, artist residencies, honors, and nationwide awards supporting the development of her forthcoming untitled memoir. As an arts advocate and grant writer, she's assisted dozens of artists, entrepreneurs, and crime victims nationwide with acquiring grants, funding, and resources.
