The National Cinema Museum in Turin is among the most important cultural institutions in the world because of the richness of its heritage and the multiplicity of its scientific and popular activities. The Museum, starting in 1992, became a Foundation with the aim of promoting study, research and documentation activities in the field of cinema, photography and image.
Also part of the National Museum of Cinema - Maria Adriana Prolo Foundation are Cinema Massimo, the Bibliomediateca Mario Gromo, the Cineteca di Torino and the city's three most important film festivals: Torino Film Festival, Festival Lovers and Cinemambiente.
