Hailed by the press as the premier American ragtime ensemble, the Peacherine Ragtime Society Orchestra is rapidly becoming the leading professional ragtime ensemble in the United States. Formed at the University of Maryland in 2010 by founder Andrew Greene, the PRSO brings back to life the syncopated stylings of a bygone era - Ragtime, theater, and dance music, along with silent film accompaniment, performed off the original antique theater orchestra scores.

The PRSO has performed at leading venues including the Kennedy Center in Washington DC, historic theaters, state-of-the-art performing arts centers, concert associations, colleges, and universities. Frequently the PRSO is heard on radio programs across the United States, including Hot Jazz Saturday Night (WAMU 88.5, Washington DC), Ragtime America (KGNU 88.5, Boulder, CO), and Rapidly Rotating Records (KISL 98.5, Catalina Island, CA).
