This channel is a gallery for models cataloguing a detailed history of the two Croydon Airports.
As a member of the Archive team of the Historic Croydon Airport Trust a wealth of material has been available, and much support given, to research and recreate the history of the buildings of the first Croydon Airport on Plough Lane.
Work continues on the second airport, concentrating on the terminal building Airport House as it was in 1928 when the airport was officially opened.
In addition to the airport buildings several of the early commercial aircraft are in the process of being modelled.
All models are created in SketchUp and are being transferred to Twinmotion and V-ray to produce video content.
There is still much development to be done on the project, but I believe enough is now in place to provide viewers with a sense of the period.
