We are a team of entomologists, photographers, natural history specialists and environmental activists who want to bring attention to the staggering diversity of insect species in the UK. Our aim is to increase awareness and knowledge of insect groups and provide a glimpse into their lives, ecology and biology.

What is Entomology?
Entomology refers to the study of insects and their relationship to humans, the environment, and other organisms.

Why Is This Important?
The bulk of all animal life, whether measured by biomass, numerical abundance or numbers of
species, is comprised of invertebrates such as insects. These innumerable
little creatures are integral for supporting natural ecosystems. In the UK, there has been a staggering decline in the diversity and abundance of insect species, threatening the stability of an already fragile ecosystem.
