The International Union of Crystallography is a scientific union committed to advancing structural science globally. As a not-for-profit union, the IUCr empowers a thriving structural science community.
The IUCr publishes 10 peer-reviewed journals, the series of reference volumes International Tables for Crystallography and a quarterly newsletter. It also maintains the online World Directory of Crystallographers, awards prestigious prizes, implements outreach initiatives and organises the triennial Congress and General Assembly.
Admitted in 1947, the IUCr is a Scientific Union member of the International Science Council and partnered with UNESCO in the International Year of Crystallography 2014.
