I make films about creativity and storytelling, and the life of the creative professional.
I've spent the last decade making a living writing music for film & TV. I love thinking about and experimenting with different ways of being an artist and human, and how we can live and express ourselves fully in all aspects of our existence.
I explore the art and craft of filmmaking, scoring for the screen, and the philosophies, tactics, and habits I employ to find success as a freelancer. I also share what I've learned from many the in-depth conversations I've had over the years with some of the top professionals in my field, including Trevor Morris (Vikings), Robert Duncan (Castle/Timeless), as well as Oscar winners Mychael Danna (Life of Pi) and Hans Zimmer (Inception).
I'm currently the 1st Vice-President of the Screen Composers Guild of Canada, speak regularly at the top film fests in the world (including TIFF, Hot Docs, Vancouver Intl, and more), and am a Creator's Rights advocate.
