The Transnational Institute of Social Ecology (TRISE) is a transnational network of activists, scholars and researchers founded in Greece in 2013. TRISE has an office in central Athens and currently holds more than 50 members mainly situated in different parts of Europe.

TRISE sees itself as part of the communalist tradition and aims to propagate the ideas of social ecology and radical democracy. We seek to be a pan-European resource to all those concerned with these ideas. To this end, we consider democracy, ecology, feminism, ‘the Right to the City” and struggles against oppression as fundamental transforming goals. Our activities are focused on research, education and training.

TRISE continuously organize seminars, webinars, lectures, workshops and courses on a broad range of themes and topics related to our mission. Every second year, we organize an open international TRISE Conference.
