The GWAND Festival was founded in 1993 and is the highest endowed fashion prize (150,000 euros) worldwide.

Winners are, among others:
Raf Simons, Haider Ackermann, Lutz Huelle.

The Gwand Fashion Festival has taken place eleven times in Lucerne. Gwand developed from a local event to a Swiss and international hotspot in the fashion scene and fashion industry. In doing so, Gwand has always remained true to its roots: Supporting fashion designers.

Gwand sees fashion as a reflection of society and as an industry with global reach and impact. Under the impact of climate change and worsening social tensions, humanity needs a breakthrough of sustainability in all areas of life.

From now on, Gwand's mission is to support sustainable design and solutions to transform our economy, towards climate neutrality. With the 12th edition of the festival, Gwand stands under the star of sustainability - where fair and green, big and small stars will shine brightly.
