My interest in knives comes from a great respect of humanities oldest tool. An uncomplicated, yet elegant and functional simple machine which gave humans the initial, life saving advantage over other creatures which were granted these tools naturally. With blades, we were able to hunt, defend ourselves against otherwise superior creatures, gather, and craft our way into history. To me, a blade is a piece of human history, a work of art, and of course an essential everyday tool. The start of civilization as we know it started with the invention of the blade. And I, along with many other members of the community here on Youtube and IG, honor the difference knives and blades have made in the short but prosperous span of human history.
