Dauphine Van der Velpen is an ambitious professional saxophonist with endless energy when it comes to music.
With a courageous personallity you'll find her working proudly on projects finding ways to bring her enthousiasm about music to the audience.

Dauphine was born and raised in Ostend, Belgium, where she started her music lessons at age of 9. In 2016 Dauphine started as a student at the Royal Conservatory of Ghent where she studied classical saxophone with Koen Maas, Raf Minten and Rik Vaneyghen. After accomplishing her bachelor degree in 2019, Dauphine moved to Tilburg, The Netherlands, to inroll the Master of Music program at Fontys School of Fine and Performing Arts where she studied with Ties Mellema and Andreas Van Zoelen. In 2021 Dauphine graduated as Master of Music.

In 2020 Dauphine started Tantrum Saxophone Quartet together with Artur Lopes, João Faustino and Renato Almeida.
