Amar Azul was formed in the early 90's, as a small neighborhood musical group in the north of Buenos Aires. In 1992 he released his first self-titled album, thus achieving a presence on some tropical music radio stations. Their second album, With love, was a failure in terms of sales, so the band decided to separate. Two years later, during 1995, the band reunites, and they add Gonzalo Ferrer, ideologist of the group's musical style. The new keyboardist and composer gave a more classic touch to the songs, with lyrics that are characterized by dealing with themes related to jarana, love and the social, adding to this a catchy rhythm and easy interpretation. Musically it is characterized by the combination of synthesized accordion and brass, combined with well-marked guiro and bass drum. The idea of Ferrer, at first it was questioned, since it was a strange and different style from what had been heard, but it was the biggest secret of the success of this band.
