Showcasing, particularly high-quality showcasing, is a key industry in the Geometry Dash community as a way to publish, promote and share the works of the ones deeply connected to the game with players, creators and all other community members of it. Showcasing existed from the release of the game and was relatively popular from 2.0, but since 2021, due to the efforts of JAGDP and their team popularizing it, it became the main source for outside gd players to learn about the Geometry Dash community, even after 11 years after the game's release.
