Welcome to Port Sunlight – the village built on soap!

Port Sunlight, located in North West England, Wirral, was founded by ‘Soap King’ William Hesketh Lever in 1888. The village was built to house Lever’s ‘Sunlight Soap’ factory workers, but today is home to a fascinating museum, beautiful architecture, a world-class art gallery, stunning parkland and a thriving community.

Port Sunlight Village Trust (PSVT) is an independent charitable trust responsible for preserving and promoting the village. Set up by Unilever in 1999, PSVT work to make the village an 'inspiring place to love, work & visit'
