In 2007, Gary Arndt sold his house to travel around the world for a year. That one year has now has turned into 13!

Since he started his adventure, he has visited over 200 countries and territories, all 50 US states (twice!), over 200 units in the National Park System, and over 400 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. He literally spent 9 of the last 13 years traveling around the world non-stop without a home!

During that time he became one of the world's most awarded travel photographers, having been named Travel Photographer of the Year by both the Society of American Travel Writers and the North American Travel Journalists Association. He is also a three-time Lowell Thomas Award winner, which is the highest award given in travel journalism.

His website Everything Everywhere was named one of the Top 25 Blogs in the World by Time Magazine, and he has been featured in such publications as the New York Times, Washington Post, El Pais, USA Today, National Geographic Traveler, and others.
