Natalia Lauk comes from a lineage of classical piano instruction.
Both of her parents have been teaching piano for more than 50
years. Natalia was born and raised in Siberia, Russia where she
studied piano from the age of four. She received a Master’s
Degree in Piano Performance, Piano Pedagogy, and
Collaborative Piano at Krasnoyarsk State Institute of Arts. In
2011 she moved to Pocatello, Idaho, and started working as a
private piano instructor. After a few years, Natalia joined Idaho
State University’s Music Department. Currently, she holds the
position of Collaborative Pianist and works as the Assistant
Director and Senior Piano Instructor at the ISU Preparatory
Piano Program. Natalia maintains a busy teaching schedule. Her
students receive Certificates of Achievement every year.
In 2016 Natalia’s solo recital raised $1200 for ISU piano
scholarship. She performed at Kennedy Center, Washington DC
in 2017. Natalia’s performance of Rachmaninov’s 2nd Piano
Concerto with Idaho State Civ
