At the age of 7 I started as the singer in a band, but my dream was to become the drummer. After banging on my parents’ furniture for a few years I bought my first drumkit and started practicing. At the age of 15 I took drum lessons and studied drums for 8 years. Also I started my own rock ‘n’ roll – boogie woogie trio and mixing / playing dub-reggae. I never stopped drumming in bands. Punk / trash, reggae, rockabilly, funk etc. And I started mixing dance & ambient orientated music. For my songs / drumming see the playlists ‘Tunes by Henk Koster & friends 1 + 2’.
