18 months ago I went to a model railway exhibition and saw a demo about 3D printing. I saw the benefits of the skills and how it would enable me to have models of items that normally I wouldn’t be able to get. So when I got home I started watching videos on YouTube to try and learn the skills I would need. But many of the videos were not aimed at model railways and were a more general lessons on learning CAD.
So I’m going to give back to the hobby and have started a YouTube channel that contains lessons to get others started down the same journey. I will continue to post videos to help others for as long as I can. The lesson videos will show you how to design items that you will find useful for your layout, and in the future I’m happy to do videos to show how to model items that subscribers suggest.
Please take a look.

Although there is a reasonable outlay to purchase the printer, once you have it the cost of printing items can be pennies.
