The Amsterdam-native Celine Cairo first came to the scene in '13 with the acoustic Follow EP, a 3-track-release in collaboration with British artist Fink. A trip to the US in '15 sparked a love for both songwriting and traveling and inspired her to continue collaborating with people all over the world.
Growing up in the heart of Amsterdam, one can still hear echoes of a wide musical upbringing as her parents infused her with jazz, classical music, Flamenco and Fado. But when Celine picked up the guitar aged 14, she listened to Dido, Lauryn Hill and Massive Attack and started writing her own songs.
After racking up over 5 million streams on Spotify, touring the Netherlands extensively and playing shows in Germany, Italy, Belgium, South Africa and the United States, Celine felt it was time to create something close to home. The new EP was written and produced by Celine and some of her closest friends and long time band-mates.The songs show a real coming-of-age as a songwriter.
