Centurian: Despite most of the members still being in high school when the band formed (Holbrook graduated earlier), their musical maturity stood out, showcasing impressive vocal harmonies and expressive performances. They also seemed to carry a certain mystique, almost like a local legend. People spoke about them with a mix of admiration and awe, as if they had tapped into something beyond the ordinary. Their sound had a way of staying with you, making them unforgettable to those who were there.
The band was formed in 1979 in South Jersey, performing at Hammonton and St. Joe High School dances and local events before disbanding in 1982. One of the standout moments on stage was Jimmy Italiano (aka Jimmy Jam) smashing a guitar during performances.
Remarkably, the original members have remained active in music since their high school days.
