SUBSCRIBE to be informed of each new video as it comes out. The plan is for an entire algebra book's worth of videos.
After teaching math for a long time and making lots of videos for classes, people kept telling me to make videos available for everyone. I watch lots and lots of math videos and am quite particular about what makes a powerful video educational experience. Math doesn't have to be mysterious, or dry, or convoluted. It can be made simple, beautiful, elegant, useful.
Math also ought not be explained incorrectly. I cringe at the videos that play fast and loose with important terminology like solve and evaluate. Skipping over important details about why a technique works leaves a student with gaps that are exposed later. Embrace precision, elegance, and creativity.
Many of these videos are my homage to Professor Burger and Ms. Renfro. They made some wonderful, integrated videos for a textbook years ago, and you may find some of them online, if you look hard enough.
