Aghet is a documentary about the Armenian Genocide by the Ottoman Government of Turkey, during First World War (WW I), when more than 1.5 million Armenians were driven out of their homes and systematically massacred.
The events which shaped the first genocide of the 20th century.
This documentary uses archival material and eyewitness accounts in telling the horrors of the victims as well as the survivors of the massacre.
The documentary was produced and aired on German Public TV NDR by German Filmmaker Eric Friedler, and it has won numerous awards for its research and presentation of the subject matter.
