Malaysia recorded 109 new Covid-19 cases on Thursday (April 9), taking the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 4,228.
The country also reported two new deaths, which brought the Covid-19 death toll in Malaysia to 67 cases.
This translates to a fatality rate of 1.58% out of the total number of cases.
On the latest Covid-19 death cases, the 66th fatality was a 59-year-old Malaysian man with a history of autoimmune and other chronic diseases, while the 67th death was of a Malaysian woman aged 23 with a history of thyroid disease.
