Emergency Services Arrive in Leumeah After Car Rams Into Police Officers

A helicopter and emergency services arrived in Leumeah, a suburb of Sydney, on February 16 after a vehicle rammed into two police officers.

New South Wales Police said the driver, 22, crashed a random breathing test (RBT) station on Campbelltown Road and caused severe leg injuries to two officers. The Australian reported one of them had part of his leg amputated.

The driver was uninjured and had been charged with dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm. He was refused bail and would face a court in Parramatta on February 17. Credit: Nick Farrell Photography via Storyful
