Former All-Star Aaron Hernandez was found not guilty for the 2012 double murders of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado.
A man named Alexander Bradley identified Hernandez as the drive-by shooter, while the two were driving in the Theater District of Boston at the time.
The jury was unconvinced of Bradley's testimony, due to his own criminal record and declaration of revenge against Hernandez.
Even with the verdict, Hernandez still serves a life sentence without parole for the 2013 murder of Odin Lloyd.
Hernandez's fall occurred shortly after catching a touchdown pass at the Super Bowl and before signing a $40 million contract to extend his position with the New England Patriots.
