Taiwan has reported its first locally-transmitted case of COVID-19 infection in several months.
Reuters reported Tuesday that local authorities confirmed a woman in her 30s has tested positive for the virus on Sunday,... after meeting her friend, who is a pilot from New Zealand.
Taiwan has been virus-free since April 12th, only recording imported cases,... and the latest infection ends a 255-day run without local transmissions.
Taiwan has a caseload of 771 infections with seven fatalities.
