The nets were distributed in a rural village in Entebbe called Katabi Busambaga. The village has a population of 2,500. 1,400 nets, including 200 to cover a nearby orphanage, will achieve blanket coverage.
The area is near a lake surrounded by bushes that harbour mosquitoes. As a result malaria has become endemic in the area and has claimed a number of lives. it is therefore considered a high risk area.
